Alan Remember's "The Little Man" in This Song

Once upon a time in America, the economy was fueled by mom and pop shops and locally owned business before Wal-Mart took over. Small businesses are still the best for the economy, however, most Americans no longer shop at those small businesses. Most of these mom and pop shops are slowly disappearing because of competition with bigger chains. Alan's video depicts some of the best years in American history that everyone should watch and reflect on.

Four Mega-Stars, One Legendary Group

Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, and Johnny Cash dominated the charts in 1985. They wowed audiences with hits for their decades of performing around the world. Not only were they at the point in their careers where they were seen as "old,"   But Johnny had been released from his recording contract. So the four famous friends set out on the road to make music together and show Nashville that age was nothing but a number and that growing older was all in the mindset.

Waylon Jennings (15 years ago)

We lost a great country artist on this day 15 years ago! Mr. Waylon Jennings was the original country outlaw who did things his own way and made it work. Jennings fought the system and won creative rights to do his on stuff. He paved a way for all present artists to do the same. It is even rumored that Jennings borrowed a .22 handgun and held his producers at gunpoint in order to record what he wanted to record. We may never know!

Toby Keith doesn't back down about performing at Trump Inauguration.

Toby Keith refused to back down when protesters got mad for him performing at Donald Trump's presidential inauguration. Toby Keith's words were... "I won't apologize for performing for our country or military...I performed at events for previous presidents Bush and Obama and over 200 shows in Iraq and Afghanistan in the USO." The waters seemed to have cleared now as his statement made it very clear he was not backing down. Not backing down and supporting their decisions is something seen very rarely in today's world. It is a political witch hunt and free thinkers are being attacked. It shouldn't matter who you support because we are all Americans in the end. Below is a video from the Inauguration with Toby's song, "Courtesy of the Red White and Blue."

Waylon rocks the house in this video from his prime!

Waylon Jennings was not a singer for the music industry. He was his own man and wanted to do his own music. After his friend, Willie Nelson, introduced him to a different, hippy type crowd-everything changed. They grew their hair long and started making their mark in country music. Eventually, fans started referring to them as "outlaws," a name that stuck with them because of a magazine article talking about their crazy lifestyle. The name suits Waylon well and he managed to take down the music industry to make his own music. He should get more credit than what is presented to him in country music.Watch the video below of Waylon performing, "Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way." Hank would sure roll over in his grave if he knew what country music turned into!
